Antioxidant Berry Chia Seed Smoothie

I can see you rolling your eyes. (That's right, I can see you even from here, because I have a super powers!) You're thinking: What? NOT another smoothie! Is he on one of his smoothie marathons or something?
Well, don’t worry. The next recipe will be a NON-smoothie I promise. I just couldn’t resist sharing with you guys what I had for breakfast for the last month, and probably what I’m going to have for lunch for the next two months.
And isn’t it the point of a personal food blog to show you guys the food I’m actually making (and eating)?

Antioxidant Berry Chia Seed Smoothie

So if this smoothie is part of my life right now I feel like you should know and — more importantly — that you should try it too.
This smoothie is simple to the point that it might even labeled as basic: frozen berries, pomegranate juice, chia seeds, and water.
Yet there’s something very special about this smoothie. The mixture of berries gives this detox smoothie a deep pink, beautiful, vibrant color that just looks delicious. The pomegranate juice brings a bit of tartness, while the chia seeds thicken up so this smoothie is satisfying enough to also be a dessert if you like.
This antioxidant smoothie tastes wonderful too, slightly sweet and slightly tart. With a rich and creamy texture that will make you come back for more.

I don’t mean to oversell this, I don’t, but you must believe me when I tell you: this smoothie is rad. When it’s so hot outside it seems like the roof is going to melt, it will make you feel fresh and energized and ready to tackle the day!

  2. Not sure you are fond of coconut water, but lately I've been using it in smoothies, just for a change of pace. Sometimes almond milk or coconut milk seems a bit heavy, particularly when it's too hot outside.

Coconut water (I've been addicted to it long before it became fashionable here... of course, grew up you know where...) - is so refreshing, and it doesn't change the taste of a smoothie in any objectionable way

I intend to try your recipe soon!
