Football legend David Beckham has a secret weapon in his fight to play for England again: Bikram yoga.
David Beckham, 36, fell in love with the yoga routine after a one-on-one lesson with founder Bikram Choudhury last year.
And he has become so addicted to the practice that he’s been selling its benefits to his Hollywood's buddies such as Tom Cruise and Will Smith and, also, to his team-mates.
English tabloid Daily Star revealed that: “David was introduced to Bikram by basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at a steakhouse in Los Angeles a few years back. Kareem told Beckham how regular Bikram yoga sessions would help heal his body, relax his mind and help him carry on playing football for years to come. At first David was sceptical it would really make a difference to his body but after a one-on-one session David instantly fell in love with the technique and has been doing it ever since.”
The Los Angeles Galaxy player star has since roped in his wife Victoria to work out with him.
A friend of David Beckham revealed to the press that: “Victoria is a big fan and the pair of them often have a session together when they have time."
Beckham’s football career looked in tatters after missing last World Cup with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
But David has vowed to fight back to full fitness and play for his national team with help from Bikram.
The English tabloid further revealed: “David thinks Bikram yoga has really helped him get his fitness and focus back. He is determined to play top- level football until he’s past 40 and he is also adamant his international career is not over. At first he thought it was just another LA fad but after trying it out he’s addicted."

“Not only does he feel stronger but the regime is also helping to keep him relaxed.”
Other celebrity fans include Prince Harry, tennis player Andy Murray, Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams and Ashton Kutcher. As we already discussed, practising Bikram yoga has really a rejuvenating effect on the body and mind.
I’m quite convinced that David Beckham will be successful on his coming back to the England national team as Bikram can really work the magic!
